Blended Learning Models in the NHS
"The flexibility of the on-line section of the course allowed me to work truly at my own pace, and at times that were suitable to me. Without that flexibility I would not have been able to enrol on the course."
Ken Scott B.Ed(Hons) Cert.Ed DipRSA
The LRI Blended Learning Model is now being used extensively within the health sector (with even St John Ambulance now adopting it) in a variety of ways, to deliver ILM Qualifications and Endorsed and bespoke programmes.
Trusts are using the Models themselves internally, and with external training providers and ILM centres who have adopted its use, and in some cases NHS content and e-learning has been developed.
The Model and all its powerful, flexible, sustainable and scalable processes and capacity lends itself perfectly to the agendas and working practices of the modern NHS, and the modern NHS Manager.
Even more Trusts are currently evaluating its potential, with the added advantage that the content is mapped against the NHS Knowledge and Skills framework, enabling transfer of data and progress to the e-KSF and ESR NHS systems.
